Thun, April 30, 2012 – Schleuniger acquires a 35% stake in DiIT AG. DiIT is a provider of integrated systems for the optimization of production and logistics. The software company was already founded in 1990 and is located in the city of Krailling (near Munich/Germany).

Majority shareholder and CEO of DiIT is Dr. Gerhard Schaub who founded the company in 1990. Together with Mr. Franziskus Timmermann, Board member, he developed DiIT to one of the leading software houses in the wire processing industry. Both Board members will continue to lead and further develop the company.

The customer focus lies on automotive suppliers and here especially on the wire harness production. The high acceptance of DiIT solutions shows among other things that leading global companies prefer solutions out of Krailling.

DiIT will also after the cooperation with Schleuniger remain an independently managed company that offers its products and services to the market without restrictions. Existing contracts and obligations to third parties re-main unaffected and DiIT will follow its own, independent and extremely ambitious growth strategy.

The two companies DiIT and Schleuniger harmonize very well in terms of culture- and business aspects. DiIT profits on the one hand from Schleuniger’s long standing experience in the field of machine software and on the other hand from the know-how in application technique. In addition Schleuniger supports DiIT in the aim for internationalization – mainly in terms of sales support and infrastructure.

Schleuniger belongs to 100% to the company Metall Zug Group which employs more than 3,000 persons.
