DiIT combines its products under the new “4Wire” umbrella brand

Krailling, September 20, 2017 – DiIT AG, the leading provider of integrated software systems for cable processing and the production of wire harnesses, is launching its “4Wire” product family. All existing DiIT products will be brought together under the 4Wire umbrella brand. This brand restructuring will focus its communications on the integration capacities between the individual solutions, with this interaction enabling the efficient data management of the entire process chain from engineering through production to final assembly. The products are available both stand-alone and as a complete solution.

The following products form part of the complete solution:

4Wire PPG (Production Plan Generation) is an application for engineering and work scheduling for the automated, rules-based generation of production-ready production components with work plans and production documents. 4Wire PPG supports all the work processes in the cutting area, production and final assembly. Interfaces to CAO and PLS ensure optimum integration.

The software solution 4Wire CAO (Cutting and Assembly Optimization) is the leading Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the cutting area and the production of wire harnesses. The optimization of production increases their efficiency with quality and full traceability guaranteed. There are many specifics involved in wire harness production which is why general MES systems have not prevailed.

4Wire PLS (Production & Logistics Suite) is a modular software system for final assembly and shipping logistics. Screens display the next work steps for employees prompting them to carry out the test steps. Specific focus is placed on customized production and JIT/JIS control.

4Wire can be fully integrated into SAP and other ERP systems and can also operate independently of ERP systems. This reduces complexity and ensuing data volumes. DiIT has been developing software for the wire harness industry for over 25 years and is now combining the three most important factors of quality assurance, traceability into one solution.
